Police seek hole in the wall raiders

POLICE are hunting for burglars who broke into a village shop at Croft, Warrington and got away with cash and cigarettes by removing bricks from a wall.

The burglary took place overnight between the 20th – 21st June at Elliot’s General Store, a convenience store next to the General Elliot pub in Croft.

The offenders removed the brickwork at the side of the premises and entered through the large hole they had created.
They stole cash, a large quantity of cigarettes as well as confectionary.

Police believe the offence was committed about 01:10 on the morning of the 21st; when a white coloured vehicle, possibly a Ford Focus estate, was sighted in the immediate locality around the time of the offence.
