Warrington Parish Church donation from Masons

THE Warrington Masonic Group of Lodges and Chapters donated £500 to the Warrington Parish Church recently – part of more than £53,000 distributed to charities and causes.

Every year this group of local Freemasons have a giving day which is usually held at the end of the Masonic season of meetings which culminated at the end of May.

This year saw a magnificent sum of over £53,619 being distributed to charities, which are divided into two main areas, firstly for non-Masonic local charities and good causes £25,852 and secondly to Masonic Charities and causes £27,767.

Some of the local beneficiaries this year have been: Derian House Children’s Hospice, St Rocco’s Hospice, Radley Common Luncheon Club, CAP Jobs Club, St Thomas’ Church Bell Fund, Warrington Civic Trust – Crosfield Bell Appeal, Alzheimer’s Society, Ronald McDonald House, Clare House Hospice,
Walton Lea Project, Wargrave House, The Mayor’s Charity, RNI for the Blind, The Walton Centre Fazackerly, CANtreat, St Thomas’ Church Stockton Heath, Warrington General Neo Natal Ward, Warrington Museum of Freemasonry, St Oswald’s Church, Winwick and Trackers Transplant Charity along with 28 others.

The cheque was presented to Rev Paul Wilson, Kathryn Hayes and Arnold Wright by Andy Barton, Chairman of the Warrington Masonic Group.
