VIDEO: THE Mayor of Warrington Cllr. Faisal Rashid opened up the town hall for a special garden party to help celebrate the queen’s 90th birthday.

The event took place at the back of the town hall as hundreds of people brought along picnics to help celebrate the Queen’s birthday.

Showers failed to dampen spirits as Mayors from other town’s attended along with parish council chairs and other civic dignitaries including the Queen’s representative for Cheshire Lord Lt. David Briggs.

During the event the Mayor was presented with two special pencil drawings by family friend and local taxi driver KH Khalid – one of Cllr Rashid and one of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
