Lib Dems campaigning on Europe

LIBERAL Democrats in Warrington have been out in the town centre and in Stockton Heath campaigning for Britain to stay in Europe.
Street stalls are also being organised by their national party in towns and cities up and down the country.
A spokesman for the local party said: “We feel passionately that the best place for Britain is within the European Union. Much needs to be changed but it is only possible to do this from inside.  We cannot do this if we vote to come out.
“As expected we found opinions were divided between ‘inners’ and ‘outers’. The worry is that the ‘outers’ are more likely to cast their votes on referendum day.
“Our task is to persuade the ‘inners’ that they must turn out too.
“Young people tend to be more in favour of Europe but this is the group that is less likely to vote.  We must remind them that it is their future which is in the balance so they must exercise their democratic duty and come out and vote to stay in.”
