ORGANISERS of the Miss Cheshire competition are in search for Warrington girls to follow in the footsteps of Natasha Hemmings, the current Miss Cheshire and reigning Miss England.
This time last year Natasha Hemmings was an ordinary 19-year-old University student working in a pizza shop to pay her way.
She entered Miss Cheshire to gain confidence, unaware that this decision was about to change her life.
A whirlwind of a year followed with her winning Miss Cheshire, then winning the coveted Miss England title before jetting off for five weeks in China for Miss World.
Modelling assignments for top brands see her travel to places like London, Gibraltar and Sri Lanka, with other amazing opportunities supporting charities such as Variety and Life after Breast.
Co-organiser Mary Ainsworth said: “Most girls look at these competitions and believe they lack the confidence to do what Natasha has done, such as the modelling and the public speaking, raising awareness for charities and so on. But the real trick is that we’re not actually looking for somebody with 100 per cent confidence. In fact, we’re looking for somebody who wants to build up their confidence.
“We help to empower young women, such as Natasha, to help them to believe that they can achieve these dreams that they thought were impossible up until now.
There are also brilliant opportunities for younger girls too. The first ever Junior Miss Cheshire event (for girls aged
13-16) is also open for entries, with the winner receiving a direct entry to Britain’s Junior Miss 2016.
Each girl will take part in fundraising for charity, confidence building events and an interview and activity day as well as taking part in a professional catwalk Fashion Show.
Miss Cheshire organisers are looking for girls aged 17-26 to take part and be in with a chance of following Natasha’s footsteps! The winner of Miss Cheshire this year will represent Cheshire at the Miss England Finals next year.
