LATCHFORD got back to winning ways with a good victory over a spirited Bank Quay Bulls side at a busy Victoria Park Arena.
In a close opening quarter neither team were willing to back down as both attacks went at each other.
however it was the visitors who took the lead when Scott Neil crossed out wide but Albion hit back
when a break by Joe Clarke was supported by Drew Bradley who raced 50 yards to score with Lewis
Wightman converting.
Wing Stu Simm increased Latchford’s lead shortly after when he left three defenders in his wake to cross
under the posts with Wightman’s conversion making the half time score 12-4.
Albion came out strongly in the second half and within the opening minutes a cut out pass found full
back Wightman joining the line and he raced through to score.
With Latchford’s forwards starting to dominate captain Ryan Hickman was next to cross barging his way
over the line.
Next up was Dave Levenson who crossed out wide following a break by Danny Brown before the try of
the game was scored by Drew Bradley who collected a kick in his own 22 and showed his pace to race
away and score under the posts, Wightman kept up his 100 per cent success rate with the conversion.
Credit to the visitors who never gave up and got their reward near the end when Luke Brown scored a
well worked try.
