Russell Kane coming to Warrington

THE Parr Hall has announced that comedian Russell Kane will be bringing his latest tour to the town this autumn.

Growing up and growing down are the themes so if you’re 16 but feel 21, 40 years old but tragically faking 25, or in your 80s with the heart of three oxen, then this is the show for you.

In Right Man, Wrong Time Russell explores the theory that no-one is ever the right age, claiming it’s the beauty and curse of being a “real person”.

Described by Evening Standard as “extremely funny”, “at the top of his game” by The Guardian and “one of the quickest, most stimulating stand-ups in the land” by The Times, Russell is a multi-award winning comedian, presenter, actor, author and scriptwriter.

He is famed for his critically-acclaimed tours and has been performing sell-outs across the globe – now he’s back with this brand new show.

TV appearances include three series of BBC3‘s Live At The Electric, regular stints on Live at the Apollo, BBC3’s Unzipped, and ITV2’s Celebrity Juice and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Now!

Most recently Russell travelled the world with YouTube stars filming the new survival programme Stupid Man, Smart Phone which is available on BBC iPlayer.

He’s also got the silverware to prove his credentials with four nominations for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Awards in which he won best show in 2010 before going on to make history as the first comedian to win both the Edinburgh Award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award in one year.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday 12 May.
