Wolves legend will be matchday guest

WARRINGTON Wolves legend Bob Jackson will be Latchford Albion’s special Matchday guest at the upcoming “derby” game with Bank Quay Bulls on Saturday, May 21.
He will speak to the team prior to the game and also select the Man of the Match.
Jackson said “My friendship with Latchford started back in the 1980s when I used to watch the Albion play “on the park” when the Wright brothers, Nicky Murphy, Billy Rodney, Ray Hargreaves, Mike Byron and the rest of the lads played there.
“I was also privileged to be a guest at presentation nights and it will
be great to go back and see the new facilities everyone is talking about and catch up with some old friends”
Director of rugby Mike Byron said:  “Having kept in contact with Bob over the years, when I heard he was visiting the UK, I invited him down to catch up and the idea progressed to Bob taking an active role whilst
here and  I hope his presence inspires the lads on the field and also encourages some more ex-players down to the arena as we are looking to create a match day experience at the arena”
