A FIRE involving woodland at Warrington is believed to have been started by vandals.
The blaze was in woods of St Austell Close, Penketh and was reported last night.
Firefighters using water backpacks extinguished the outbreak.
A fire service spokesman said: “Arson can cost lives. If you see anyone deliberately setting fires, please call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or call police on 101.
