Sixties show returns to Lymm Festival

LOCAL singer David John Dee makes a very welcome return to the Lymm Festival in his new one man show “The (Bootleg) Sixties Show” – another of his special tributes to the Swingin’ Sixties.

There was no reason to believe that the 1st January 1960 would be any different to the 31st December 1959 and it wasn’t, but what would happen between the 1st January 1960 and 31st December 1969 would lead anyone to believe that it wasn’t even the same century, let alone the same decade, it would be the most influential decade of pop music ever – an era that changed and influenced both pop music, and fashion forever.

Once again, he will be performing many of those golden songs and hits made famous during that incredibly musical rich era at The Lymm Hotel on the opening night of the Lymm Festival Thurs 16th June at 8.00pm.

David will be featuring songs and Hits of Billy Fury, Gene Pitney, Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders, Cliff Richard, The Beatles, Bobby Vee, Ben E King, The Searchers, Dave Berry & The Cruisers, The Fortunes, The Kinks, Matt Munro, Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas, Neil Sedaka, The Hollies, The Foundations, Jeff Beck, The Turtles, The Boxtops and many, many more.
