A FIVE vehicle collision on the M6 near Warrington is causing heavy traffic delays on the Northbound carriageway.
Two of the three lanes have been closed causing lengthy tailbacks between junctions 19-20 at Tabley.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area if possible. Emergency services are currently attending at the scene.
Updated 9.12: One lane remains closed while traffic investigators examine the scene involving a HGV involved in the collision.
