Taxi driver robbed at knifepoint

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a taxi driver was robbed at knifepoint at Warrington.
The cabbie was sitting in his vehicle in Capesthorne Road, Orford, when a man approached him, produced a knife and demanded money.
Afterward. the offender ran off in the direction of Caldbeck Avenue and Hughes Avenue.
The attack took place at about 8.45pm on Wednesday.
A police spokesman said the offender was in his early 20s, 5ft 8ins tall and of a skinny build. He was wearing a grey tracksuit.
“We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the offence taking place, anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at time, or anyone who saw a man running from the scene.”
