Murder victim died from stab wounds

A MAN who died in hospital after being found lying injured by a roadside near Warrington died as a result of two stab wounds, a post mortem examination has revealed.
The man – now believed to have been aged 35 and not 27, as originally reported – was discovered in Warrington Road, Astmoor, Runcorn on Tuesday evening and died in Whiston Hospital the same night. He has not yet been formally identified.
Three men, aged 52, 38 and 36 were later arrested and are still being held by police on suspicion of murder.
It is understood the three men are from the local area, although the incident took place near a travellers’ camp.
