WARRINGTON Wolves’ could be without influential half-back Chris Sandow for up to four months – if treatment for his hamstring injury doesn’t work.
The livewire halfback, who was voted Super League’s player of the month for February, traveled down to London this week to see a specialist over the hamstring injury he picked up at Wigan.
Head of Coaching Tony Smith, said Sandow had suffered a small tear and he was hopeful that it could be treated with an injection, which would help “speed up the healing process”.
If he responds to the treatment he could be back in action in about 10 weeks.
But if it didn’t work he could require an operation which could see him out of action for up to four months.
Meanwhile Sandow has been enjoying some good humored banter on social media with opposition fans.
When taunted by a Saints vfan about missing Friday’s game the cheeky half back responed saying he was saving himself for a “big game.”
