Planners approve beauty salon scheme

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have approved a retrospective application for a former office building to be changed into a beauty salon – despite protests from a neighbour and a local councillor
The conversion has taken place in Arnold Street, off Manchester Road, in Fairfield, Warrington.
Cllr Tony Higgins objected on the grounds there was inadequate parking provision  which would lead to parked vehicles spilling out on to Manchester Road.
The nearby resident objected on similar grounds, claiming there was no capacity for additional parked vehicles on Manchester Road. They were also unhappy the change of use had taken place before planning consent was granted.
But planning officers said the scheme simply replaced on commercial use – a financial services office – with another…a beauty salon.
They did not believe the change of use would have any significant impact on the living conditions of neighbouring properties.
