AN award-winning folk duo are touring the country to support the release of their third album – and they are starting in Lymm
Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar are one of the most sought after young acts on the folk music scene today.
Since winning the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award in 2013 they’ve released two albums, a live DVD and picked up the Radio 2 Horizon Award.
Their third album is entitled “The Silent Majority.”
The duo will be at Lymm Festival’s “Winter Warmer” folk night at Lymm Golf Club on Friday, March 4.

Playing a mixture of traditional and contemporary music from the British Isles, Russell (vocal, guitar and bouzouki) and Algar (violin and bouzouki) have built up a strong following and a reputation as an impressive and engaging live act.
They will be supported by Calico and compere Kathy Runswick.
