Burglars strike seven times in five days

BURGLARS struck seven times in five days at Warrington, according to police – the bulk of the offences being in the south of the borough.
In Richmond Avenue, Grappenhall, raiders forced their way into a garage during the night and stole power tools.
The same night, three sheds were broken into and searched in Barley Road, Thelwall and in nearby Pelham Road,  padlocks were forced off two sheds and a search made inside
A 3am raid on a property in East Avenue, Stockton Heath, involved an offender removing a hinge from a garage door and attempting to gain entry.
Two mountain bikes and electrical equipment were stolen from a garage in Hough’s Lane, Higher Walton.
Raiders forced a padlock off a garage door in Moss Side Lane, Rixton and stole a generator.
Two quad bikes were stolen in a burglary involving a barn in Warburton Bridge Road, Rixton.
During the same period,  thieves targeting vehicles were also busy. They gained entry to an insecure vehicle in Fir Tree Avenue, Fearnhead and cash and two pairs of black leather gloves.
A sat nav and cash was stolen from a vehicle in Ferndale Clos, Woolston and cash was stolen from a car parked in Pelham Road, Grappenhall.
Four Vauxhall alloy wheels were stolen from an  insecure van  in Hume Street, Warrington and a van was ransacked in Helsby Street, Warrington.
