What’s on at St Werburgh’s Community Hub

THERE’S something for everyone at St Werburgh’s Community Hub this New Year.

A whole host of events return to the popular, Warrington Borough Council-supported venue.

From a film club and coffee mornings to over 50s exercise classes and a graduate network group, there’s something for everyone!

Events and sessions that have made a return in 2016 include:

·         Started on Tuesday 5 January – Graduate Network Group – runs every Tuesday from 10am-12pm

·         Started on Tuesday 5 January – Sew and Sews – runs every first and third Tuesday of the month from 6.30-8pm

·         Started on Wednesday 6 January – Little Werby’s Mums & Tots – runs every Wednesday between 9.30 and 11.30 (term time only)

·         Started on Wednesday 6 January – Over 50’s exercise class – runs every Wednesday from 1.30-2.15pm

·         Starts on Thursday 7 January – Councillor surgery (Cllr Maureen McLaughlin and Cllr Les Morgan) – runs every first Thursday of the month from 10-11.30am

·         Starts on Thursday 7 January – Coffee morning – runs every Thursday from 10am-12pm

·         Starts on Friday 8 January – Light lunch and film club – runs alternate Fridays from 12pm

·         Starts on Thursday 14 January – Low impact exercise group – runs every Thursday 1.15-2.30pm

·         Starts on Thursday 14 January – IT drop in sessions – runs every Thursday from 10am-12pm

·         Starts on Saturday 23 January – Dementia awareness café – 9.30-11.30am 

Cllr Kate Hannon, executive board member for leisure, community and culture, said: “Whether your new year’s resolution is to get fitter, develop your skills or you simply want to meet people in your community, St Werburgh’s has something on offer for everyone!

“It’s fantastic that such an array of great activities are planned for local residents to enjoy so come along, meet some new people and have fun!”
