VIDEO: A WINTER Wonderland fun fair which has arrived in Warrington on the site of the former Mr Smith’s nightclub provided a boost for a local charity which is set to celebrate a special anniversary.

Warrington Disability Partnership will start to celebrate 25 years in the New Year with a whole host of special events with the aim of raising £150,000 for the charity which was launched by Dave Thompson after he suffered a broken neck following a freak sporting accident.

Proceeds from the opening night of Silcock’s Winter Wonderland will be donated to Warrington Disability Partnership.

Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington Geoff and Jean Settle were on hand to perform the official opening of the fair which will be open throughout the festive period.
