Chester Road swing bridge closure causes lengthy delays

0

WARRINGTON motorists once again faced lengthy delays this afternoon when the Chester Road swing bridge had to be closed for mechanical repairs.

Traffic queues tailed back along the length of Chester Road and Wilderspool causeway heading out of Warrington, with further traffic congestion in the Walton and Stockton Heath areas.

Although the bridge repairs have now been carried out Police are warning motorists to expect delays in the area following the knock on effects of the congestion and rush hour traffic.
