Trees set on fire at Orford

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after firefighters were called to a report of a fire Orford, Warrington, involving trees being deliberately set on fire.

The fire on Newhaven Road last night (Saturday) at around 18.00 involved several conifer trees and firefighters used a hose reel jet to put the fire out.

It is believed that this fire was started deliberately. Anyone with information that could help find those responsible please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
