AN abandoned car transporter left parked on a pay and display car park in Warrington over night sparked a police alert when the driver “disappeared.”
A car parking attendant discovered the vehicle parked up on the Old Road car park this morning, with the cab curtains closed and no sign of life.
Police were about to force entry to the vehicle when a local business alerted them that the owners of the vehicle had been in touch.
It eventually transpired that the driver had admitted himself into Warrington hospital suffering from kidney stones – it didn’t stop him being issued with a parking ticket after leaving the vehicle parked overnight.
