WARRINGTON Town have landed a tough draw in the FA Trophy third qualifying round at home to high flying AFC Fylde from the Northern Conference.

Warrington and Fylde were in the same division a couple of years ago but back to back promotions has seen The Coasters, who were only founded in 1988, get to the Northern Conference where they are currently second. A familiar face in their line-up could be former Warrington Town midfielder Sam Finlay.

The game will take place at the Winner Recruitment Stadium on Saturday, November 28, kick off 3pm.

Chairman Toby Macormac said: “One of the toughest draws you could get there, but we’re flying at the minute and it will be a truly great afternoon.”

Manager Shaun Reid added: “It is a tough draw for us. But you have to beat the best to win trophies. At least we are at home.”

Before then Warrington are due to travel to Ramsbottom tomorrow (Tuesday) for a re-arranged League Cup game and then entertain Glossop North End in a “top of the table clash” at the Winner Recruitment Stadium this Saturday (Nov 21) kick off 3pm.
