WARRINGTON Model Railway Club’s 41st exhibition proved to be a great success at warrington Collegiate at the weekend.

Twenty top class model railway layouts from as far afield as Dorset, North Wales, East Midlands and Yorkshire were on display.

The hobby has a big following across the UK and the annual event attracts many hundreds of enthusiasts to the town in addition to local families young and old.

The show is always well supported by specialist suppliers and over the years it has helped quite a number of new local businesses to develop and thrive.

One of the stars of the show was the Norman Williams’ Meccano model of the unique Warrington Rail Transporter Bridge.

Norman has become a local celebrity following his recent appearance on ITV Granada Reports.
His excellent model is making a significant contribution to the “Save the Transporter Bridged” campaign.
