Expanding company chooses Warrington as regional hub

AFTER just a few years in business, successful tax relief company, R&D Tax Claims have chosen Warrington, as their new regional hub as part of a major expansion.
Managing Director, Mark Evans, has recently expanded the business building upon their West Midlands base due to unprecedented growth in the North, selecting Pamela Cunliffe to head up the Northern operation.
SMEs right up to Scotland will now benefit from a new, proactive approach to getting often unexpected, tax refunds from HMRC.
Originally operating in the Midlands, R&D Tax Claims launched to assist UK based SMEs in claiming back every pound spent on research and development projects. This government backed scheme was designed to provide companies with the opportunity to further develop their products and processes, typically for manufacturing companies, as well as businesses exploring new products and niche markets.
Over the past six and-a-half years the company has been involved in generating £20m in tax savings, which has proven instrumental in enabling SMEs to grow their businesses by reinvesting the relief money back into the companies.
Tax savings of £374,384 were secured for Mini Gears (Stockport) Limited over the last five financial years.  A portion of this reclaim has been dedicated to the purchase of a machine which has allowed Mini Gears to manufacture larger car parts – despite what the company name suggests!
Joint managing director Keith Martin, said: “R&D Tax Claims have helped us to take our company forward. Don’t assume that what you do won’t qualify as R&D.  Meeting with R&D Tax Claims gave us the opportunity to review our projects and discuss our potential. There is nothing to lose from an hour’s meeting, only the opportunity to get something back.”
R&D Tax Claims northern director Pamela Cunliffe said “This is a really exciting time to work with our existing and new customers given the strength of research and development occurring within manufacturing SMEs across the Northern Powerhouse.
“We have already made some strong connections and I am looking forward to expanding our business further. Being Cheshire born and bred I feel totally at home in Warrington and it is fantastic to be part of the vibrant business community here and across the North West.”
