Ethnic communities association to launch discussion forum

WARRINGTON Ethnic Communities Association (WECA) is to create a “Let’s Discuss Forum” to provide an informal, friendly space for Culturally Diverse Communities (CDC) to voice, put forward and get involved in matters which have an impact on them.
No date or venue has been chosen yet but it is planned to have monthly topics for discussion, with guests invited to voice their thoughts on pressing and developing matters in the community which affect their social, physical and economic well-being.
WECA believes that currrently there is under-representation of CDC female voices in community development.
They hope the forum will encourage women to come forward for friendly discussions to help build strong dialogues on social and economic mobility in the community.
In particular they want to encourage Asian women to get involved due to their low representation.
But the forum is open to all, regardless of genders/ethnicities.
“We are also encouraging service providers, advocates and policy makers to join the forum to feed in and take out information to help improve their services and level of interaction with the CDC,” a spokesperson said.
Anyone requiring further information, or who feels they can help feed  information in or out of the forum is asked to contact Fatima at [email protected]
