Woman taken to hospital after inhaling fumes

A WOMAN was taken to hospital at Warrington after inhaling cooking fumes.
Two fire engines were called to a house in Grasmere Avenue, Orford, after reports of a fire. They found a woman suffering from smoke inhalation due to fumes from cooking in the kitchen.
She was given oxygen and then handed over to ambulance crews who took her to hospital.
Firefighters then used a ventilation unit to clear fumes from the property.
In a separate incident, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to tackle a car fire at Birchwood. One man suffered minor burns to his hand.
