Van fire may have been caused by cigarette

A VAN went up in smoke at Warrington this afternoon – and fire experts believe the blaze was caused by a discarded cigarette
The incident was on Olympic Way and a fire engine from Birchwood went to deal with it.
Firefighters used a main jet to extinguish the flames, but the vehicle was badly damaged. No-one was hurt.
In another incident, a quantity of hay caught fire at Pennington Lane, Burtonwood.
Firefighters from Warrington and Widnes used beaters and water back packs to deal with the incident
