“Get engaged” … with the health service

NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group is holding their annual “Get Engaged” event on Wednesday September 9 at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
“Get Engaged” is an opportunity for members of the public to have their say on the CCG’s work and local health services.
This year the event will focus on:
*Our Draft Primary Care Strategy – how we need to change the way primary care is delivered to make services more sustainable
*Our Medicines Management proposal regarding some over the counter medications not being prescribed by GPs for minor ailments in the future.
The event will run from 10am until 2pm and will include a health marketplace and lunch. Warrington CCGs Annual General Meeting and Governing Body Meeting will follow from 2pm onwards.
There will also be a “Question Time” session where CCG staff will be on hand to answer any queries from members of the public.
Katie Lightfoot, engagement and experience manager for Warrington CCG said: “We need patient involvement to help shape the services we commission for the people of Warrington.
“It is vital that we listen to patient views and this in an opportunity for them to have their say on two formal consultations that will affect local services.”
