DANCERS from Fusion Dance Group and THE Warrington community will perform in Old Market Place on Saturday September 5 at 1pm in the opening performance of the Warrington Festival.
The performance is part of opening activities for the festival including Warrington’s Medieval Market and Warrington Cycle Festival at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
The dance group will also showcase a performance at Bank Park on Saturday September 20 as part of the festivities surrounding the main weekend of the festival.
Local choreographer, Stacey Goodall, who is responsible for the official Warrington Wolves Dance Team, Fusion Elite, will co-ordinate the festival performances.
The dance is inspired by the “Window on Warrington” performances that took place in Warrington Town Centre in celebration of the Rugby League World Cup.
Ms Goodall said: “It’s a joy to work alongside Culture Warrington and develop performance opportunities for local performers through dance. Opening the first ever Warrington Festival is extremely exciting for all involved.”
