AN exhibition is planned to celebrate the activities of Warrington’s voluntary organisations during the First World War.
Staff at Warrington Voluntary Action (WVA) are collecting information about Warrington’s voluntary sector during the 1914-18 period with a view to displaying stories and memorabilia will be displayed as part of a travelling exhibition, starting at the Gateway in Sankey Street from November 11.
Any charity, community, voluntary or faith group that has been running for 100 years or more, WVA would love to hear about it.
#a spokesperson said: “This would be a great opportunity to promote your group’s activities and take a look back at your group’s heritage.
“Our small team of volunteers would be able to support you to develop your display.”
Groups which take part would also be invited to the launch event, commemorating 100 years since the First World War, at the Gateway.
Any group that fits the criteria should contact project co-ordinator Stef Woo by email at [email protected] or call 01925 246 880.
