Parish council opposes home extension

LYMM Parish Council is opposing an application to build one and two-storey front and rear extensions to a house in Eagle Brow, Lymm.
They consider the proposals will lead to a building that is too big for the site and will be out of keeping with the surrounding areas, all of which are in a conservation area.
A neighbour has also expressed concern over possible overlooking issues.
But the borough council’s development management committee will be recommended to approve the scheme, submitted by Mr Nick Elliott, when it is dealt with tomorrow (Wednesday).
Planning officers say the proposals respect the scale of the existing dwelling and improve its character and preserve the character of the area. They also point out the house is scarcely visible from the road.
