WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones organised a walkabout in the Orford area with borough council chief executive Professor Steven Broomhead
During the walk, the pair discussed a number of issues raised by residents in the Quebec Road and Venns Road area, ranging from fly-tipping to the future of Peninsula House.
Ms Jones said: “During the election campaign, many residents I spoke with on the doorstep raised concerns about issues such as fly-tipping and unsafe footpaths.
“It was important for the council chief executive to witness first-hand these problems and I look forward to hearing how the council plan to address the issues raised.”
Negotiations have been going on for some time over the proposed sale of Peninsula House which contains a mix of Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT)and leaseholder-owned flats.
GGHT has said recently that the multi-storey block is likely to be sold to a private owner before October.
