Police appeal after man killed in car crash

POLICE at Warrington are appealing for information from the public after a 93-year-old man died following a road crash.
The incident was in Winwick Road, near to the Lord Rodney pub, at 6.45pm on Monday.
It is understand the man, from the Appleton area of Warrington, was crossing the road when he was in collision with a saloon car.
He was taken to hospital in Liverpool but died of his injuries the same night.
The car driver, a 46-year-old man from Warrington was unhurt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 citing incident number 851 of July 13 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
