THE annual Proms in the Park charity event, hosted by 75 Engineer Regiment, will take place on June 20 at Peninsula Barracks in Orford.

The Combined Bands of The Lancashire Artillery and The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment with Mezzo Soprano Danielle Louise Thomas and The Warrington Pipe Band will be just part of an array of entertainment planned for the day. Tombolas, paintballing, raffles and sweet stalls are among the many attractions planned for a sensational summer day – whether the sun shines or not!

Stalls and other attractions will be open from 3.30pm with musical entertainment from 6pm. All money raised from the event will go to St Rocco’s Hospice, The Army Benevolent Fund and SSAFA.

Commanding Officer 75 Engineer Regiment, Lt Col Alan Mason said “We have a fantastic fun-filled afternoon planned and we hope the people of Warrington will come along and join in on the day to help us to raise as much money as possible for our three charities.”

Julie Dove, Community Fundraiser for St. Rocco’s, added: “We’re delighted and honoured that we have been chosen as one of the charities that will benefit from this fantastic event and are very grateful for the support from the Regiment. Come on down, bring your blankets or chairs and join in the flag waving, singing and fun!”

Tickets are available from St Rocco’s Hospice in Bewsey, St Rocco’s Longford Street shop and from Peninsula Barracks. Please call 01925 575780 if you would like to reserve a ticket.
