A WINWICK charity has launched a new app to help with its fundraising efforts.

Fortunatus Housing Solutions, a registered charity housing vulnerable adults in the north west, held a launch event, which also promoted their Unity Lottery, to raise donations to support their tenants living with mental illness and learning disabilities.

The “Engage” app and the lottery will involve both their tenants and the wider community in their events and offers support and advice.

Catherine Nicholson, Managing Director at Fortunatus said: “This is a great stepforward for the company and I am proud of what we do here.  I am especially keen to raise awareness of Mental Health issues which affects 1 in 4 people.”

The Unity Lottery is a national lottery which helps charities raise money for their activities, as well as giving the person playing the lottery a chance to win something for themselves. For every £1 played on the lottery, 50p will go towards supporting vulnerable adults and there is a weekly prize of up to £25,000.

The app ‘Engage’ is available to download via the App Store and Google play and you can sign up for the Unity lottery and find out more about the app and the work they do at http://www.fortunatushousing.co.uk/fundraising-and-events/unity-lottery/
