A vintage tractor rally around the country lanes of Frodsham and Helsby has raised vital funds for the local youth club.
The Cheshire Vintage Tractor and Engine Club which stages the rally every year raised £700 through a raffle and have given the money to Frodsham Youth Association.
Members of the club turned up with several of their tractors to make the presentation and to give youth club members a closer look at their prized machines.
Club secretary, Fiona Bates said: “We got 170 tractors joining the rally last Christmas. It was quite an impressive sight to see. We decided to give the money we raised through the raffle to the youth club because it does such a great job in giving local young people a place to get together.”
The money raised will be used to help complete work to refurbish the coffee bar in the Frodsham Youth Association building.
Club manager Nic Mikoleizik said: “The kids really love hanging about in the coffee bar but it needs a lot of work. The money will help us put down a new floor and buy some new furniture. We were delighted when the Cheshire Vintage Tractor and Engine Club chose to donate the money to us and it was an added bonus when they brought a selection of the tractors down to the club for the young people to see.”
