Friday May 29 – Forge Shopping Centre, Stockton Heath (10am to 2pm)
Tuesday June 2 – Tesco, Winwick Road (10am to 2pm)
Wednesday June 3 – Outside Warrington Market – (10am to 2pm)
Thursday June 4 – Birchwood Shopping Centre Carpark (10am to 2pm)
Friday June 5 – Red Lion Carpark, Penketh (10am to 2pm).
Leader of the council, Cllr Terry O’Neill (pictured) said: “We would like to thank everyone for their support for the garden waste service. Since it began we have collected and composted over 107,000 tons of waste, which is fantastic.
“There is a limited amount of compost available each day during the give-away so come down early before it runs out.
“We will also have a limited supply of free home compost bins for your garden. All we ask is that you stay for a short talk on how to home compost. Staff will be available to give help and advice on how to compost and recycle your waste.”
The compost is being supplied for free by Whitemoss, the company that composts Warrington’s garden waste.

  1. A really nice thing to do, but I have to ask why are the sessions all during the week inside normal working hours? Am I, as a full time working person not entitled to get some compost, or a composter too?
