Cricket wiped out by the weather

CRICKET in the Frodsham area was almost completely wiped out by the weather.
Frodsham’s match at Old Parkonians was cancelled while the 2nd XI game against Holmes Chapel at home was also abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The 3rd XI managed to play their game at Glazebury – but probably wished they hadn’t. Frodsham were bowled out for a paltry 54 and the home side hit off the runs for the loss of four wickets.
Kingsley’s 1st and 2nd XI games were washed out as were Alvanley’s Cheshire County League games.
