Mr Johnson enjoys a cup of coffee with David Mowat at Esquires Coffee shop

VIDEO: MAYOR of London Boris Johnson sampled pork pies, waffles and coffee during a visit to Stockton Heath, to support Warrington South candidate David Mowat.

Mr Johnson visited numerous shops in the village, where he was offered samples of local produce as he tried to drum up support for Mr Mowat in the local business community.

He happily posed for “selfies” with local shop keepers and shoppers as he handed out election leaflets and discussed the local economy.

He then visited local coffee shop Esquires for an impromptu press conference.

Mr Johnson said many traders had been upbeat about an improvement in the local economy and he was delighted to see a thriving village centre with no empty shops.
