Dog-walker robbed in park

POLICE at Warrington today appealed for help from the public following a robbery in a local park.
The incident took place a week ago, on Monday July 16 at about11.30pm when a 25-year-old man was walking his dog in the park area close to Pelham Road, Thelwall.
Two men attacked him and demanded his mobile phone.
The offenders fled the scene in the direction of Woodlands Drive when the victim’s dog began barking. The man was left with scratches and two small puncture wounds to his arm and hand.
The offenders are both described as being in their early 20s, of average build and were wearing dark coloured hooded tops.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact police on 101.
