CHESHIRE’S Fire and Police services will go head to head in a charity basketball match organised by England legend Delme Herriman next weekend.
Herriman, a Commonwealth Games bronze medallist who now runs the Warrington Wolves basketball team, has set up the game to raise money for the After Adoption charity.
Cheshire Constabulary take on Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service at the Warrington Ball Hall next Saturday, July 21 (7pm tip).
After Adoption is a voluntary adoption agency, which help to place children who are currently in the care system in to stable families. For more details visit http://afteradoption.org.uk
Last autumn, Herriman staged a charity game featuring rugby league stars from Warrington Wolves taking on their basketball counterparts.
The Wolves basketball team is part of the Super League club’s charitable foundation.
Tickets are priced at £3 per person, or £10 for a family of four (2 adults, 2 children).
