Four weeks of road closures

WORK is due to start on July 30 on resurfacing another stretch of the A56 at Lymm – Higher Lane, between Grammar School Road and Wildersmoor Farm.
The work is being carried out to coincide with the school holidays and will take about four weeks to complete.
Daily road closures will take place between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
In addition to the resurfacing work, a traffic island is to be installed between Woodland Avenue and Oughtrington Lane as part of an attempt to reduce speeds.
Raised bus boarding points will be constructed at existing bus stops and footway crossing points will be improved to make them safer for pedestrians.
Bus services will be diverted during the road closures but bin collections should be normal, although times may be different.
