Dog attack man charged

A 47-year-old man has been charged in connection with an incident in Warrington when a woman and her dog was attacked by two dogs at Blackbear Park, Latchford.
Michael Connolly, who is facing two counts of being in charge of a dog and allowing it to be dangerously out of control in a public place and causing injury, has been bailed to appear before Halton Magistrates? Court on June 25. A 22-year-old woman who was also arrested at a property in Archer Avenue, Latchford has been released without charge.
Two Staffordshire Bull Terriers were seized from the property.
The charges relate to an alleged incident on April 25 when a woman and her dog were attacked by two other dogs as they walked along Black Bear Footpath in Latchford.
The charges also relate to a second alleged incident on the May 22 in which a 15-year-old boy sustained puncture wounds from a dog bite in Archer Avenue.
