Cars damaged in arson attack

FOUR cars were damaged in an arson attack on a garage site at Warrington.
Police today appealed for information following the blaze at Howley Quay Motors, in Grappenhall Lane on Monday (May 7).
Police and fire services were called to the scene at around 11.30pm following reports that a car was on fire.
The fire service extinguished the blaze but four cars in total were damaged. No-one was hurt.
It is believed that the fire was started deliberately and officers are currently following up a number of lines of enquiry.
PC Chris Mullin, of Warrington South Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing to anyone who has any information in relation to the fire to get in touch with us immediately.
“We are currently following up a number of lines of enquiry and are urging anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and might have seen anyone acting suspiciously to contact us.”
Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 or call the confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
