YOUNG Conservatives in Warrington have launched a recruitment drive.
Warrington Conservative Future (WCF), chaired by Jonathan Levy, represents young Conservatives from across the town and holds monthly social events along with regular campaigning and community action.
Highlights last year included encouraging volunteering and young trustees, supporting the successful “No 2 AV campaign”, stewarding at the 20th Disability Awareness Day, fundraising for the Poppy Appeal and adopting Warrington Disability Partnership as its first ever charity of the year.
Mr Levy said: “In the last year we have continued to grow in activity and members. More and more young people are getting involved and playing their part in our success. The fact that a number of members stood for borough council in 2011 is proof of the great opportunities available.
“We are proud to be the town’s largest and most active political youth group. Young people have a big role to play in society and 2012 will be our biggest and best year yet so don’t delay, join today!”
More details can be obtained by emailing [email protected] or visiting www.warringtonconservativefuture.org
WCF is open to people in Warrington aged 12-30.
