New York – The Big Apple

0

New York famously known as the city that never sleeps! New York has something for everyone and is the most exciting cosmopolitan city in the world with over 20,000 restaurants, 400 art galleries, over 150 museums etc.
Why not take advantage of seeing a show on Broadway with a pre theatre dinner-you can book your tickets before you go. The famous Manhattan skyline is a sight not to be missed, the views from the Empire State Building enforce this, visit the Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station, Trump Tower, Rockerfeller Centre (here they have the ice skating
rink from Nov on-wards).
We can book direct flights from Manchester and arrange transfers into the city to your hotel.Want to shop til you drop – well you will have chosen the right city – no matter what age there is something for everyone to do here.
In Upper Manhattan you can visit the Lincoln Centre for Performing Arts, the Opera House and as you move down to Midtown Manhattan you will see Broadway, the Empire State Building, Radio City Music Hall and Central Park – where better to take a stroll and see the horse and carriages on a Sunday afternoon.
Coming down to Fifth Avenue, especially good if you want to visit the designer shops, not forgetting Bloomingdale’s, Macey’s and many more. Further down into Lower Manhattan there is Battery Park. From this area you can leave onboard a boat for Ellis Island and see the amazing Statue of Liberty.
Visit a wide range of restaurants based in Chinatown, Little Italy, Greenwich Village alongside the Anest jazz clubs, comedy clubs, street entertainers etc. The options for visiting these areas are on foot (need good walking shoes!), famous yellow taxis or hop on the subway.
Other options whilst in New York are take a flight and do Niagra Falls by Air or a Helicopter Flightseeing trip of the Big Apple, Sex and the City Tour, Will and Grace Tour, Friends Tour etc. I did the Sex and the City Tour and had a fantastic time – ate cup cakes in the park, had our photo taken sat on the steps of Carrie’s apartment, went into the bar and drank Cosmopolitan cocktails!
If you feel like a relaxing break after this on a beach why not twin centre it with Bermuda – take a flight and experience the pink sands of Bermuda before flying home to the UK.
